Basic information about Offenburg
The City of Offenburg with its 59,000 inhabitants is located 25 kilometres East of Strasbourg and borders on the Rhine valley and on the Black Forest.
The City - surrounded by vineyards and situated at the river Kinzig - has much to offer: a historical centre with a baroque scenery, various hiking and cycling trails, a variety of cultural events, gastronomy of Baden.
Interesting places for excursions nearby: Europe-City Strasbourg, "Schwarzwaldhochstraße" (scenic route through the Black Forest), wine route in Baden, Black Forest open air museum, leisure park “Europa Park”.
