The Conference will be held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information of University of Applied Sciences Offenburg.
Founded in 1964, the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg quickly established itself as an impressive and high performance educational institution. Originally founded as the "National School of Engineering", the University has developed into a thriving community with approximately 3,800 students on two different campuses in 32 undergraduate and graduate courses being offered in four faculties. More than 12% are international students, i.e. in the English Master programs. Around 50 modern labs help to foster teaching and research.
Basic information about Offenburg
The City of Offenburg with its 59,000 inhabitants is located 25 kilometres East of Strasbourg and borders on the Rhine valley and on the Black Forest.
The City - surrounded by vineyards and situated at the river Kinzig - has much to offer: a historical centre with a baroque scenery, various hiking and cycling trails, a variety of cultural events, gastronomy of Baden.
Interesting places for excursions nearby: Europe-City Strasbourg, "Schwarzwaldhochstraße" (scenic route through the Black Forest), wine route in Baden, Black Forest open air museum, leisure park “Europa Park”.
Travel info
Offenburg is close (40-70 km) to various international airports (Strasbourg, Karlsruhe, Bale) being served by low-cost carriers (AirBerlin, easyjet, ryanair, and alike). The main German airport hub in Frankfurt can be reached in around 90 min with direct connecting high-speed trains (ICE).
