Policies

The venue and Conference Chairs for each upcoming IDAACS conference are selected by the IDAACS International Advisory Board at least two years prior to the event. Since the IDAACS Conference Series is international and rotates between locations, the selected Chairs—both the General Chair and the Chair of the Local Organizing Committee—are typically affiliated with the host institution or organization responsible for the event logistics.

Candidates are evaluated based on:

  • Their H-index and research impact
  • Prior experience organizing international conferences, workshops, or symposia
  • Their involvement in the IDAACS community
  • Relevance of research to IDAACS topics
  • Participation in international R&D projects

The co-Chairs of the International Program Committee are approved by the Advisory Board approximately 18 months in advance, in consultation with the Conference Chairs. Familiarity with IDAACS goals and principles is an important factor in the selection.

In cases where candidates are of similar scientific standing, gender diversity is taken into consideration to ensure balanced representation.
